Christ Church Children's programs raise up kids who love Jesus and seek to serve him in all areas of life.
The Nursery (Ages 0 - 2)
The nursery will offer childcare for children at the 10:30 service. During the 10:30 service, parents should pick up their children at the passing of the peace. Sunday school for toddlers will be offered in the nursery during the 10:30 service. Toddlers will hear a Bible story, complete a related activity, and worship God through music. Location: Nursery, Room C
Preschool (Ages 3 and 4):
Our preschoolers will hear 10 different Bible stories over the course of the school year and will worship God and know Jesus through movement and play. Location: Room 007, downstairs Children’s Hall
Kindergarten through grade 5:
Our elementary age kids learn about God through scripture memorization; praying and sharing with their adult shepherds; and through our hands-on and active Bible Workshop Rotation Approach. Location: Rooms vary, downstairs Children’s Hall
Family Sundays:
October 2, November 6, December 4, January 1, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6
This year for Family Sunday, on the first Sunday of each month, kids from kindergarten and up will worship in the sanctuary with their families. Sunday school will not meet on these Sundays, but during church kids will receive materials to help them engage in our Anglican service.
Please join us at 6:00 for a potluck and Epiphany celebration on Friday, January 6th. Children are invited to participate in our impromptu Epiphany pageant and to share a King's cake in celebration of the wise men's visit to see Jesus, the newborn king! The church will provide the King's Cake. We look forward to ending the Christmas season with you through this joyful event!
Christ Church's family service will be at 4:00 on Christmas Eve. We will remember the remarkable gift of Jesus' birth through dramatic scripture readings, Christmas carols, a children's Christmas Eve choir, and a Christ-centered craft during the sermon time. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with your family!
This Sunday, December 18 during the 10:30 service, Christ Church kids will prepare snacks and discuss future service opportunities for the Sun Valley Youth Center. Sunday school will meet in the Music Room. Join us as we seek to serve God through caring for others during this Advent season.
Family Sunday
Our first Family Sunday on October 2nd was a great success: we discussed the different ways that we worship God together at church during our service. Kids also began to create their own color-coded prayer books, which they will complete by next May. Our next Family Sunday Sunday is November 6th, when we will celebrate All Saints Day and also learn about Baptism.
