Legacy Society
What is the Christ Church Legacy Society?
The Christ Church Legacy Society consists of members of the parish who have remembered Christ Church as a beneficiary in their estate planning. Estate Planning is to insure those who we love and care about are taken care of after our passing. But our planning is not only reserved for family and friends but also institutions and organizations which we have supported, loved and cared for during our life.
We believe that Christ Church should be at the top of the list! Therefore, we have formed the Christ Church Legacy Society to acknowledge those who have remembered Christ Church in their Estate Planning, and to encourage others to do so. We are dedicated to offering workshops and seminars for the parish which will help members implement appropriate end of life planning. Being part of the Christ Church Legacy Society ensures your faith and values will continue on through your church for generations to come.

How Do I Enroll?
If you are asking this question then you have already made a decision to remember Christ Church in your estate planning. Therefore, let us say thank you.
Making the decision is the first step. Putting our intention into action will take some patience and diligence.
STEP ONE: Meet with a Gift Advisor
These are members of our parish who have backgrounds and experience in this area of charitable giving. They can walk you through what options may be available to you. There is a myriad of ways to fulfill your desire to remember and be generous to Christ Church. So, the first step is to speak with one of our Gift Advisors and get some information and direction. Our Gift Advisor Coordinator is Michael James. Connect with him today and he will pair you up with an advisor.
STEP TWO: Devise a plan
Devise a plan, with the help of your advisor, and take the necessary steps to make sure Christ Church is part of your estate plan. This may be as easy as changing the beneficiary on a life insurance policy or working with your attorney to make or revise an existing estate plan.
STEP THREE: Complete Enrollment Form
The third step once your plans have been put into appropriate documents, is to contact your Christ Church Gift Advisor and complete your Legacy Society enrollment form. This is a document the society keeps on file which expresses your desire to leave a gift for Christ Church. It indicates the means through which that desire will be fulfilled.
Recognition
Once you are a member of the Legacy Society, you will be added to the society plaque in the Commons and invited to our Annual Legacy Society Luncheon. At the luncheon, we welcome new members, honor our present members and remember those members who have passed in the year prior. Thank you for your desire to bless Christ Church through your estate plan.
The purpose of this form is to provide notification to Christ Episcopal Church of the current intent of my/our legacy gift plan for the Church. This notification enables the Church to provide recognition during your lifetime (if approved by the donor) as well as to begin the customary documentation of these future gifts to Christ Church. Please finalize your gift by making legal arrangements with your trusted professional advisors.
