Treasureland Preschool has provided a nurturing early childhood environment since 1956. Throughout its long history, the school has valued providing a high-quality early education that encourages a love of learning, supports social and emotional competence, encourages friendships among families, fosters critical thinking skills, and values relationships. Prioritizing relationship-building, the staff works to build learning community and provide a safe space for young children to learn, share, and grow. Enrollment for the 2022 year included 63 children representing 58 families from our surrounding community.
The staff at Treasureland Preschool is exceptionally qualified and embraces best practices in early childhood education. Over the summer and fall, educators completed a book study together on Conscious Discipline, our social and emotional curriculum. The teachers provide engaging and in-depth investigations to support critical thinking, problem-solving, independence, and social competence. They nurture curiosity, creativity, cooperation, and inclusion through strong relationships and by modeling the same skills.
Treasureland administration continues under the leadership of Mindy Tipton, who became certified as a credentialed early childhood coach and secured a significant grant for investing in the preschool program. We continue to partner with the Denver Preschool Program and will become a provider in 2023 for the inaugural year of Universal Preschool, which will provide families 15 hours of care per week for students in their year prior to kindergarten.
Treasureland Preschool remains grateful for our partnership and positive relationship with Christ Church.
