Lenten Online Class and Discussion with Frs. Joseph and Todd
6:30-7:30pm MT online only
March 11, 18, 25, April 1
The 40 day period of Lent has been marked since the earliest Christians as a season to prepare and repent in anticipation of the Resurrection. But, rather than a single day, Holy Week represents the last days of Jesus including his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, his last supper with his friends, his betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion, through the darkness of Holy Saturday into the joy of the resurrection on Easter Sunday. The entire week is like entering into the life of Jesus in real time tracking the events that shaped our faith and our hope.
This course will delve into the Prayer Book liturgies of Holy Week: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Vigil of Easter. Join us each week to learn more about inhabiting these services as a way to draw closer to Christ in his most important work. Then, join with us in the celebration of Holy Week Services with renewed insight and devotion.
